Every client can raise the merge prompt; what is Apple-specific is the question it has to ask, since two overlapping StoreKit subscriptions cannot both stay active. Progress and hints are combined either way.

It covers the app until the session has settled, which on a cold launch includes restoring the Keychain token and reconciling offline progress.

Account information. When you first open the app we create an anonymous account tied to a randomly generated device identifier, so you can play without signing up.

Gameplay data. We store your puzzle progress, completed crosswords, hint usage, hint balance, purchased entitlements, and your language and app preferences.

Purchases. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the relevant app store. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
